The instant of greatest eclipse takes place on 0290 Nov 19 at 18:07:41 TD (15:58:56 UT1). This is 3.8 days after the Moon reaches apogee. During the eclipse, the Sun is in the constellation Ophiuchus. The synodic month in which the eclipse takes place has a Brown Lunation Number of -20186.
The eclipse belongs to Saros 76 and is number 49 of 72 eclipses in the series. All eclipses in this series occur at the Moons descending node. The Moon moves northward with respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series and gamma increases.
